Kindergarten Round-Up Set For Thurs., May 2 At JG Schools m The John Glenn School Corporation Kindergarten Round-Up will be held on ThurQ sday, May 2, at 7:00 p.m. The annual Round-Up will be held at both the North wk SI Liberty Elementary School and the Walkerton Elementary School, in their respective w Ml cafeteria’s. Q fin It is very important that all parents of children who will be five (5) on or before Q Ml June Ist attend this meeting. The school asks that the children do not attend these R fid meetings with their parents. Q Ml During the Round-Up parents will need to complete the registration forms; have the R M birth certificate from the county in which the child was born checked; sign-up for 8 MJ kindergarten screening; receive dental and health information and forms; meet with R Ca other parents to discuss car pools; receive the kindergarten handbook and receive an Q sB explanation of the kindergarten programs. R Ml A legal birth certificate is required. The birth certificate can be obtained from the S M County Health Department in which your child was born if you do not have one. 1 J Ml This will give you plenty of time between now and the May 2nd Round-Up in order Q fin for you to obtain the proper birth certificate. IMMUNIZATION CLINICS The St. Joseph County Health Department will be conducting Imminization Clinics in the area during April. No appointments are necessary but all children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and all previous shot records are needed for immunizations. The clinic in Walkerton will be held on Tuesday, April 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 1000 Georgia Street. The hours have been extended to accommodate those working parents. On Thursday, April 4th, the clinic will be held at the Old Lakeville School Project, U.S. 31, Lakeville, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. In North Liberty the clinic will be held on Tuesday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Community Center, 300 S. Main Street. The hours have also been extended for this clinic to enable parents to bring children after school. Now is the time to get immunizations for children entering kindergarten and the sixth grade this fall. Avoid the crowds and hassle this summer. For further information call 235-9783.
