NOTICE OF SALE Notice is hereby given that the John Glenn School Corporation will receive sealed bids in the office of the Superintendent, 506 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton, Indiana 46574, until the hour of 10:00 a.m., (local time) on the 20th day of February, 1996, at which time they will be opened
and publicly read aloud for the following: sale and removal and relocation of a house from the real property located at 405 West Washington Street, Walkerton, IN. The Board of School Trustees has determined that this personal property consisting of the house and all contents therein is not needed for School Corporation purposes and has authorized the sale of the house conditioned upon its removal and relocation from the aforementioned property. The house is offered for sale as is with no warranty as to its condition or suitability for use, occupancy or structural integrity. This notice to bidders for the sale of the house is strictly limited to the house and its relocation from the property at 405 West Washington Street, Walkerton, Indiana. Bids must be submitted on the form supplied by the School Corporation and placed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Superintendent at the address of the Superintendent referred to hereinabove. Envelopes containing said bids must be labeled in the lower left corner as follows: “BID FOR JOHN GLENN HOUSE SALE.” If a bid is submitted by an individual, said bid shall be signed by the person making such bid or the bid shall have attached thereto a power of attorney evidencing authority to sign the bid in the name of the person for whom it is signed. If the bid is submitted by a partnership, said bid shall be signed by all of the partners or by an attorney-in-fact. If signed by an attor-ney-in-fact, there must be attached to the bid a power of attorney for the individual for whom it is signed. If the bid is submitted by a corporation, said bid shall be signed by the correct corporate name thereof, and the signature of the president or other authorized name, and the attesting signature of the secretary of the corporation shall appear thereon. The successful bidder will be requried to pay the purchase price bv certified
check within three (3) business days of the award of the bid by the School Corporation (the Purchase Price”). The successful bidder also will be required to enter into an agreement with the School Corporation whereby the successful bidder will agree to furnish a certified check in the amount of $500.00 payable to the John Glenn School Corporation (the “Deposit”), which will be returned upon successful completion of the removal of the house from the aforementioned property. The agreement shall provide further that, if the work is not completed by the date specified below, the Purchase Price and the Deposit shall be forfeited to the School Corporation and the School Corporation will commence with any action it deems appropriate to remove or demolish the house. The agreement shall provide further that the successful bidder will provide evidence of the insurance requirements specified in the agreement. The successful bidder will also be required to demonstrate that the bidder has secured all necessary approvals and permits of any governmental agencies which may be required to complete the removal of the house from the real property hereinabove described. Removal of the house from the real property shall be completed by April 15, 1996, and the successful bidder shall demonstrate it has secured the required insurance and permit approvals by March 30, 1996. Failure to adhere to either of these dates will result in the agreement being terminated and the Purchase Price and Deposit being forfeited to the School Corporation. The house shall be available for inspection during the period of January 22, 1996, to February 19, 1996, by contacting Head Custodian at Urey Middle School at 219/586-3184. Copies of the aforementioned bid form and agreement may be obtained by contacting the School Corporation Administration Office at 219/ 586-3129. The John Glenn School Corporation is not obligated to accept the lowest or any bid submitted and reserves the right to waive any informalities to any bid, to reject any and all bids or to accept the bid which is most favorable to the School Corporation.
