NOTICE OF INTENT TO REQUEST A RELEASE OF FUNDS Notice of Intent To Request A Release Os Funds. To All Interested Agencies, Groups And Persons: On or about January 5, 1996, the Town of Walkerton will request the State of Indiana to release federal funds under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (P.L. 93-383) for the following projects: Community Focus Fund Grant New Walkerton Lincoln Township Public Library 300 Michigan Street Walkerton, Indiana Estimated Cost Os Project $162,000.00 An Environmental Review Record respecting the aforementioned project has been made by the above named community that documents the environmental review of the project. This Environmental Review Record is on file at the Walkerton Redevelopment Office, 612 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton, Indiana, and is available for public examination and copying upon request. The Town of Walkerton will undertake the project described above with Community Development Block Grant Funds, under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. The Town of Walkerton is certifying to the State of Indiana that the Town of Walkerton and Cheryl Rizek, in her offficial capacity as Town Council President, consent to accept the jurisdiction of the Federal Courts if an action is brought to enforce responsibilities in relation to environmental reviews, decision making, and action; and that these responsibilities have been satisfied. The legal effects of the certification are that upon its approval, the Town of Walkerton may use the Block Grant funds, and the State of Indiana will have satisfied its responsibilities under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969. The State of Indiana will accept an objection to its approval of the release of funds and acceptance of the certification only if it is on one of the following bases: (a) that the certification was not in fact executed by the chief elected officer or other officer of applicant approved by the State of Indiana; or (b) that applicant’s environmental review..
