Monthly Reports: Chief Sobieralski reviewed his Police Report with the Council. Fire Chief Larry Dill reviewed his report with the Council. Dill said that they
lost some expensive equipment in the recent Starlite fire and he is in the process of listing the equipment for the insurance claim. Dill said that he would like to have a department head meeting with the Council before the end of the year. The meeting was tentatively scheduled for 6 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 18. Preliminary drawing for the addition to the fire station will be ready for the next Council meeting. Dill said they have reviewed their budget and feel that too much of their money is going toward pay for dispatchers. They

would like to see if something could be arranged so that dispatch could be paid from their budget, on a per call basis. A couple of firemen recently attended a meeting where they discovered that our fire fighting equipment can not reach the roofs of any of the downtown buildings. Dill intends to bring more information on this problem to the next meeting. A fireman broke his glasses at the Starlite fire and Workman’s Comp Insurance won’t pay to repair or replace them. It was agreed that new glasses, for the fireman, can be purchased from the Fire Department’s budget. Mary Rollings gave the Ambulance Report. Rollings had two quotes for

After some discussion of the fees, service and quality of the phones, it was decided that Rollings should look into these companies a little further and coice back with a recommendation. David Behr reported that the Library Grant is proceeding.
