PAULINE LEMERT Pauline Lemert, 63, of 11017 E. Potawatomi Trail, Walkerton, passed away at 1:20 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 16, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after an illness. She was born on Dec. 29, 1931, in Garrett Hollow, Kentucky and lived here most of her life coming from Kentucky. She married Orra Cyril Lemert, on June 30, 1951, x in Colorado Springs, Colorado, who survives. She was the retired owner of Pauline’s Beauty Shop, North Liberty. Liberty and Anthony Bell, of North Liberty; three sisters, Lois Blosser and Virginia Holmes, both of North Liberty and Betty Halsey, of Tyner and a brother, Bill Fannin, of North Liberty. A son, Orra, preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 1979. Services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton, with burial in Sumption Prairie Cemetery, South Bend. Fontana Cunningham Fontana (Young) O’Keefe Cunningham, 97, Crown Point, formerly of Koontz Lake, passed away on Friday in St. Anthony Home, Crown Point. She was born on May 15, 1898, in Huntington, Ind. She
had been a cook and waitress at the Haymarket, Huntington and Jackson’s Bar & Old Style Inn, Valparaiso. Surviving are a son, Robert G. O’Keefe, of Valparaiso; three grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Services were held at 9 a.m. on Monday in St. Anthony Home chapel with burial in the family plot at Kimball Cemetery. The Geisen Funeral Home, Crown Point, was in charge of the arrangements. North Liberty, passed away at 12:30 a.m., on Monday, Dec. 18, in Bremen Healthcare Center, following an illness. He was born on August 26, 1919, in Cadillac, Michigan and lived in North Liberty most of his life. He married Ina Mae Shupert, on Sept. 26, 1942, in North Liberty, who survives. He retired in 1983 from Inland Distributing Co., South Bend, as a foreman and had formerly worked as a truck driver for Great Lakes Distributing, South Bend.
