tainment for the day was provided by Verl Haag and Florence Seekings. On Friday we have our - regular sing-a-long with Virginia Anhold leading the singing and Verice Walz at the piano. (News from 11-13-17) On Monday, Nov. 20 Hazel Schweder entertained with her collection of jokes and daily happenings while her husband, Harold, was in charge of the books. Tuesday we all enjoyed visiting and on Wednesday we all enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast and the fellowship of all in attendance. Verice Walz played the piano and all sang some special music. We had a great day. APPLE BAKE OFF Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton, held an Apple Bake-Off contest, on Tuesday, Nov. 21, with Marge Barenie taking the first place prize for her famous apple pie.

Placing second in the bake-off was Kathy Gilliland with her apple cake. Judges for the event were John McGovern, Lucy Ferch and Evelyn Eddinger. PLAN RESULTS ARE IN AT JG The sophmore class at John Glenn High School has received the results of the PLAN test (an assesment tool for college and career placement) given recently at the school. The counselors meet with the class to explain the results, but will also be meeting with the students on an individual basis to fine tune career plans. Mr. Dan Snider, sophmore counselor,* will be happy to answer any questions from parents about the PLAN test results.
