Falcons are coached by Gordon Mosson. The Falcon full court press had the team from Clay worried in the first half. Clay had seven threepointers to help in the scoring column. In the junior varsity action Clay won by a score of 42-31. The Falcons will face Culver on Friday night and then Oregon-Davis on Saturday evening, both at home and the Saturday night action will just be the varsity team taking the court beginning at 6:30 p.m. SCORE BY QUARTERS Clay 27 36 60 84 Glenn 11 23 38 46 Glenn’s Lady Falcons suffered a 59-47 Northern State Conference set back Wednesday night to a tough Bremen squad in girls high school basketball action at the local gym. The loss snapped a three game winning streak and dropped coach Scott Hostetler’s charges to 3-2 on the year

and 1-1 in league warfare. Bremen improved to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the NSC. The Falcons knew they had to contain Bremen’s tall standout, Jenny Reed, if they had a chance to dump the always tough Lions. It was not to be, as Reed went wild in the first quarter scoring 12 of her total 17 points to pace the visitors to a big 22-11 advantage at the end of the first period. Holly Lawwill and Tami Coffel kept things going for the Lions in the second stanza as the Lions roarded to a 34-19 lead at halftime. The Falcons contained Reed in the second quarter allowing her just one field goal, but the damage was already done. Although the local gals held Reed scoreless in the third period, the Lions used a balanced scoring attack to expand their lead to 47-25 to start the final eight minute segment. The Falcons continued to play hard in the final chapter outscoring the Lions 22-12 and cutting the final margin to 12 points. Angel Dietrich had seven points in the fourth quarter and finished with 13 tallies while Lindsay O’Connor popped in three treys and finished with 11 points to lead the Falcons. Lawwill added 17 points to the winners tally and Tami Coffel had 11. BOY-GIRL DOUBLEHEADER Glenn will host a FIRST EVER BOY-GIRL VARSITY BASKETBALL
