TRI KAPPA NEWS Zeta Pi Tri Kappa, of North Liberty, held their regular meeting, on Wed., Nov. 10, at the Community Building. Jessica Coddens was present to speak to the ladies on the Entertainment Books that the chapter will be selling. Proceeds from the sale of the books will be used for the education, scholarship and philanthropic projects. The books sell for $25.00 and have savings for dining, art, leisure, travel and services both locally and over seas. The meeting began afterwards with the minutes being read and the treasurer’s report and other officers reports given. The quilt committee gave their report with the tickets for the same to go on sale after the first of the year. Pecans are in. Members were asked to sign-up for rining of the bells for the Salvation Army, in Dec. Anne Shortt reported that the chapter would be getting together in Jan. to make dolls for Riley’s Children’s Hospital. The ways and means committee held a pound auction prior to the close of the meeting with all having a great time as well as raising funds for upcoming projects. Refreshements were served by Kathy Fick and Joyce Liggett who used a Thanksgiving theme. The next meeting will be on Dec. 13 with this being our Christmas Party. Secret Sisters will be revealed at this meeting.

TURKEY DINNER ENJOYED BY CLUB MEMBERS A delicious turkey dinner was enjoyed by members and guests of the Walkerton Business and Professional Women’s Club, on Thurs. evening, Nov. 16, at the Evening Star Rebekah Lodge, downtown Walkerton. The 35 members attending the meeting brought in contributions for the Community Food Pantry for the upcoming holidays. The meeting was opened by president Barb Osowski. Secretary Dona Platz read the minutes and Linda Relos gave the treasurer’s report. Guests for the evening were Ardene Bellinger and Denise Brooks. Birthday ladies for the month were Sandy Zehner, Edna Downey, Alice Walker and Lorena Briggs with Mrs. Walker receiving the birthday gift. A turkey platter and frozen turkey were won by Linda Relos. Door prizes were won by Norine Divine, Cathy Ganger, Linda Relos, Carol Harper, Ardene Bellinger, Sandy Zehner and Edna Downey. The evening ended with a lively white elephant sale auctioned by Nedra Williams. Winners of the scholar.ship raffle will be drawn at the Dec. meeting and members are reminded to turn in their ticket stubs for the drawing. Committee members for

CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON On Dec. 21, at 10 a.m., at the First United Church of Christ Fellowship Hall, 321 N. Center, Plymouth, the Indiana American Association of Retired Persons will gather for their annual Christmas luncheon. Persons planning to attend should bring a covered dish. Meat, beverage and table service will be furnished by the chapter committee. Guest speaker for the afternoon will be Mr. Rob Holl, D.V.M., a staff member of the Plymouth Veterinary Clinic.
