[ Card of Thanks
We are unable to express our appreciation for all the various expressions of Tove, friendship and caring during Bill’s illness and death. With the tremendous support of family and friends it made a difficult time easier for all of us. Pat Mortakis John Mortakis Alan & Karen Ruihley I would like to thank all my friends and church members for their cards and prayers during my recent operation. God bless you all. David, born on Nov. 3, and weighed in at eight pounds and 11 ounces. Paternal grandparents are David and Paula Rader, of Bremen and maternal grandparents are John and Diane Small, of Walkerton. DINNER ENJOYED The Retired Friends and Neighbors met on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the Pine Creek Church for their Thanksgiving dinner together and their last get to-gether for 1995. About 175 attended. Several came for the first time and there were several over 90 present. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kaser were celebrating their 57th wedding anniversary. Gladys Sheneman read a very funny poem entitled, “Thanksgiving At Grandma’s.” Evelyn Dolph read the secretary report after which Vera Kennedy, of South Bend, gave the noon day prayer. Following the delicious smoked turkey dinner by Raymond Hartsaugh and all the rest of the delicious trimmings prepared by the ladies, all then went to the sanctuary where they were entertained by Rev. Norman Replogle and his wife and several other members of the church. This was the last meeting till the first Tuesday in April of 1996. IN MEMORY In memory of Larry Lent; Nov. 14, 1938-May 19, 1995 God looked around his garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful. He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering. He knew that you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb, so he closed your weary eyelids, and whispered, “Peace *be thine.” It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. We miss you Your Loving Sisters, Annette, June & Jackie Give To The Community Pantry Faith and patience are great assets and wonderful aids if you have them when you need them.
