JG Drama Club To Present Comedy WB BB? jibbibbbi
The John Glenn Drama Club will present its first production of the year, on Friday and Saturday evenings, Nov. 17 and 18, as they bring Neil Simon’s heavenly comedy, “God’s Favorite” to the stage for an evening of laughs. The production is scheduled for 7:30 in the high school auditorium and all tickets are $3.00. “God’s Favorite” is considered a “minor” work by Neil Simon, one of the masters of American comedy, who has written such smash shows as “The Odd Couple,” “Brighton Beach Memoirs” and “The Prisoner Os Second Avenue” among others. Still, the laughs are many and the jabs hit hard in this play based loosely on the biblical story of Job, a faithful man who must endure great hardship to prove his faith. Simon has updated the play to the current day as he presents the story of Joe Benjamin, a rich businessman who is confronted with a moral dilemma as he discovers that he has become the object of a bet between God Thanksgiving Feast At Library Sat.
