ELECTION DAY — TUES., NOV. 7 Tuesday, November 7, is Election Day in Indiana when cities and towns elect their governing bodies to serve for the next four years, starting with January 1, 1996. This election is held in the so-called off-years and not with the national election, so that more attention can be focused on its importance. Remember to vote it is a privilege! Interest in the Walkerton election has been running high this fall. Both Republican and Democratic committees have been using newspaper space to present their can- ! didates to the voters. Voting will be done at two locations in Walkerton. At the Walkerton Town Hall, 510 Roosevelt Road and at the Walkerton Community Building, corner of Washington and Ohio Streets. The polls open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m. Due to the interest in the different races, voters are urged to vote early so that those who must vote late in the day may be able to do so without too much delay. In North Liberty the candidates are as follows for the three at-large seats to be filled: Tim Overberghe, Richard ■ Warner, Sara A. Williams, all republicans and John W. Gouker, Sr., the lone democrat candidate. Paul Williams, ■Jr., is the lone candidate for Clerk-Treasurer. Voting in North Liberty will be at the North Liberty Community Building, 300 S. Main. In Walkerton the candidates are Lee Morton (R) and Randy Hoover (D), Ward 3; Gordon Hartsell (R) who is unopposed, Ward 4; Nathan Beyler (R) and Greg Williams KD) for the candidates at-large seat; Roger Huizenga (R) and Robert Schlifke (D) Town Court Judge and for ClerkTreasurer are Sherry Frame-White (R) and Kathryn Chrapliwy (D).
