The local firemen Tapped-up the event by passing ut apples to all the students and jachers at the school. DEMOCRAT CANDIDATE FOR NORTH LIBERTY TOWN BOARD John Gouker has lived all of his life in North Liberty. He is married to Alida and they have five children. Gouker worked for the Town of North Liberty for 33 years, having just recently retired. Gouker has served for 36 years on the Liberty Twp. Vol. Fire Department, 33 years as Fire Chief, a position of which he still holds. He attends the Beaver Creek Weslyan Church and has been a member of the church for 35 years. His concerns for the Town of North Liberty is to “attract more businesses, but first we have to upgrade our utilities so that we can handle the expansion. We need a street program that is not put off until the cold weather every year. Our sidewalks in town are deplorable. We need a board to sit down with the utility and police department heads to work out all the concerns of each department. We don’t need outside firms running our town.” Pd.
