Walkerton's Junior Miss. The program will begin at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 28 at the John Glenn High School Auditorium. Dolores Godoy was the first of three to be asked the question of the week. The question was: “Looking ahead to October 23 — the final day’s activities and program, what thoughts and/or emotions are running through your mind?” Dolores answered, “I’m concerned about the interview and I’m afraid 1 may trip or fall on stage. Actually, I’ve enjoyed
every moment, it’s been fun and I recommend this program to all senior girls who are interested. You make new friends and it’s fun!” Sarah Martin’s reply to the question of the week was “I’m anxious for the day to come, looking forward to seeing how everything will come together in the end. It’s been incredible! I’m nervous about the presence and composure portion because I’m not a dancer. I’m sure everyone will be doing great. I plan to keep in touch with everyone.” Rebecca Mashon answered, “I’m really nervous and hopeful. I’m hoping everything goes well with my performance and the other girls’ performances. I wish all the other participants good luck. ” This week’s question concludes HESTERS CABIN BED & BREAKFAST ‘j Peaceful Night Or Weekend In Our 1830 Restored Log House (Reservations Only) 71880 St. Rd. 23, Walkerton NORTH LIBERTY REAL ESTATE AGENCY 903 So. the Question of the Week for the senior ladies involved in the 1995 Walkerton Area Junior Miss program. It has been stated by sponsors working weekly with the girls that this group of seniors is one of the best yet. They have always been on time for practices (even arriving before the scheduled time) and if someone would have an extra-curricular event scheduled, they would somehow make it to the Junior Miss practice after their first commitment. They are a good group of girls. Plan to attend the Walkerton Area Junior Miss Program this Saturday. Come to see seventeen talented and beautiful young women who represent the four area schools of Knox, LaVille, OregonDavis and John Glenn. We are proud of each of them! Good luck to all! ♦ ♦ Recognize this fellow? He was on the Walkerton Town * Board for 7 years and was instrumental in forming the * electric energy board which joined with 7 other cities and 4 hired specialists to negotiate an electrical contract with $ NIPSCo which is now in force and has saved Walkerton * electric users a huge sum of money over the life of the J contract. He spent many hours and days of his own time * as well as telephone calls and gas getting this contract 4. which is soon to run out. He is running for the At-Large * position on our Town Board and we need him desperately 4- to oversee this negotiation of a new electric contract. He J has a wealth of knowledge about this. I know — I served * on the electrical energy board with him from the first J meeting until long after the contract was put into effect. J He works tirelessly, is extremely knowledgeable about our 4 utilities and we are lucky he is willing to serve Walkerton $ again. * You know what? I don’t even know what political par*ty he belongs to. I do know we all owe him a debt of * gratitude for all the hard work he did when he went to bat > for all of us on our outrageous electric bills and won! * Pd. Pol. Adv. by Roy Wilcox Roy Wi,cox
