J- On Tuesday, November 7, Greg Williams will be seeking the At Large 4 position on our Walkerton Town Board. Greg is a life-long resident of 4 * Walkerton. Greg is a 32nd degree Scottish Rite, Past Master of the j 4 Walkerton Masonic Lodge. Greg is a Walkerton Volunteer Fireman and *. 4 has been for 25 years. Greg is Field Superintendent for Nor-Kop Sheet 4 * Metal, in South Bend. Greg served eight years on the Walkerton Town J Board, the last four years of which he was president. * 4 Greg has already proven his honesty and integrity and is very well 4 * aware of how important it is for Walkerton to grow and is willing to 4 work hard to make that happen. Greg also knows our utility department * 4 very well and is willing to work to keep our expenses down. Greg is also 4 J very interested in getting the Enhanced 911 System in Walkerton which J could save us five to seven minutes on emergency calls that could mean > ♦ the difference in life or death. Greg assures me he can get the system in. 4 I asked Greg to seek this position because I know he is capable of get- J * ting the job done. 19 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren. CARD CLUB NEWS The Walkerton Senior Card Club met Tuesday, Oct. 10 for euchre and Thursday, October 12, for pinochle. The winners were as follows: In euchre, Norma Brems, first with 66; Kate Capes and Milner Capes tied with 59 for second and third place; and fourth, Orville Klinedinst with 56. In pinochle, first was Liz Moreau with 600; second, Orville Klinedinst 589; third, Helen Verkier 574 and fourth, Norma Brems 564. to be done at REAL Services. Tuesday was a day of visiting prior to the meal. Mildred McKesson gave the table prayer. Wednesday Morris Searfoss led the group in the Lord’s Prayer after which Betty Clapper told about a small town as she grew up in a large town. This was very interesting to all in attendance. Thursday was a fun day with Maxine Worthington and friends entertaining us. Mildred McKesson gave the table prayer. Friday is our sing-a-long day with Pauline Klopfenstein at the piano and Virginia Anhold led the singing. 'The September and October birthdays will be honored at the October 19 gathering. Betty Clapper, site director, would like to thank all of the volunteers for helping her over the years.
