pc The John Glenn Varsity volleyball team struggled through a tough week by dropping matches to LaVille, Culver Girls Academy and Michigan City Marquette. The LaVille match saw the Falcons extend the Lancers into the third game before falling. Statistical highlights for the match included Beth Honaker with 8 kills and 5 blocks, Lindsay O’Connor with 10 assists and 4 aces, Angel Dietrich with 14 digs and 3 aces and Suzanne Drews with 8 digs. REAL SERVICES NEWS WALKERTON The REAL Services lunch bunch gathers every week at the Walkerton Youth Building for a well ballanced meal and get-together. On Monday of last week the group enjoyed visiting with one another. The group will be happy to have Harold and Hazel Schweder back to liven up our “Blue Mondays.” All repeated the Lord’s Prayer before the meal. Tuesday Morris Searfoss gave the table prayer and on Wednesday an announcement was made of the upcoming REAL Services dinnerdance. Iva Kring gave the table prayer. The juice winner on Thursday was Norma Brems. On Friday we usually have a sing-a-long with Verice Walz at the piano. This week Laura Minter lead the singing and we appreciate her filling in for Virginia Anhold who was ill. Dates to remember include the birthday party on October 19 with Florence Seekings and Verl Haag to entertain and on October 25 the group will be entertained by Sam Madonna and Florence Seekings.
