Apollo 13 Astronaut James Lovell To Appear

A X Mil' / I IF’- * Astronaut James Lovell, the Apollo 13 hero, will headline the 1995-96 Plymouth Arts Commission series with an inspirational presentation, on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m., at the Plymouth High School Auditorium. While serving as Commander of the Apollo 13 mission, Captain Lovell faced the challenge of a lifetime. As he and his crew rocketed toward the moon, an explosion destroyed the ship’s crucial oxygen system, stranding the crew 200,000 miles from Earth. Lovell’s skill and personal courage ensured the crew’s survival in space, as well as aided in their safe return to Earth.
