R.E.A.L. SERVICES NEWS WALKERTON Come and join the fun we have on Monday’s with Herald Schweder who is our welcoming committee. Then Hazel Schweder entertains us with all sorts of jokes and short stories. On Tuesday we celebrated our July and August birthdays with a part with Florence Seeking and Verl Haag entertaining us. Those having birthdays were Helen Verkier, Jeannie Thomson, Betty Clapper, Warner Clark and Doris DePoy. Mildred McKesson led us in prayer before the meal. Wednesday Florence Seekings and Sam Madonna were with us to play their instruments and sing for us. We want to thank Mr. Orville Klinedinst for all of the cantaloupe he has brought in, they were delicious! Thursdays was a day of visiting. Also Aaron Myers, a young boy that lives across the street from the center, came in an played t6he piano and sang for us. Juice winners were Marge Tracy and Norma Brems. Morris Searfoss returne4d thanks before the dinners. Friday we had our regular sing-a-long with Verice Walz at the piano and Virginia Anhold leading the singing. Coming up is Vi Wolff and Maxine Worthington to entertain, on August 30th; Bubbles the clown on Sept. 14 and blood sugar screening information on Sept. 20th. Be sure to sign up the day before by 11:30 a.m. to attend our dinners. Arguments usually aren’t worth it. Never underestimate people of small stature. It is surprising what a compliment will do.
