Mpncl. John Glenn’s graduating class of 1975 recently celebrated their 20 year reunion. The event was held at the Ramada Inn, in South Bend. After an hour of socializing and catching up a buffet dinner was served, followed by some game activities, the class picture, and an evening of live music and dancing. A total of 52 graduates attending, 85 including spouses and friends. Thank yous go out to Mr. and Mrs. Schaeffer for taking the class picture; Mike Stahly for being our free-lance photographer; all our sponsors for donating prizes for our event; the reunion committee and all who helped to make the night a success. Donations for the 25 year reunion were generous and appreciated by the committee. Anyone in the class still wanting a class picture or directory can call 586-7793. Anyone locating the whereabouts of any of our * ‘wanted list” classmates may still call at the same number with the information. NORTH LIBERTY By Gladys Sheneman Mark, Kim, Lauren and Mitch McDanell recently returned to Phoenix, Arizona, after visiting with Ike and Carolyn Dunnuck. While here they also visited Todd, Allison and Mitch Millar, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Correll Family Reunion was held last Sunday, August 13, with 60 members attending at the North Liberty Park. They came from Ohio, Tenn., Hl., Utah and Ind. Contests and games were enjoyed. They have met since 1948 and will hold the 1996 reunion at the same time and the same place. Oldest present was 80 year old L. Perryman, of Elksville, 111. and the youngest was M. Long. Even though the temperature was in the 90’s they brought fans and kept comfortable in the shelter and therefore won't forget this family get-together. The Teegarden Community held their get-together on Saturday at the Park by the Brethren Church ivith a good group attending. Lots jf good food was enjoyed by all present. The children had lots of
fun, while others reminisced about the good old days in Teegarden. How many of you remember when they held band concerts there every Tuesday night and people came from every where to hear the talent and see the people. Would you believe that’s where I went on my first date with Claude and later married him. Julie and Bruce Hite arrived on Thursday from Abilene, Texas, to spend several days visiting with family and friends. On Sat. afternoon the family held a get-together at the home of her parents, Shirley and Bill Limerick. Other guests included David and Penny Limerick, son Kris and his friend, Brandi, all of Ligonier, Andrea and Pat Manuel, of South Bend, Joey and Christan Manuel, of Edwardsburg, Mich, and Alan and Paula Limerick, Joel and Tracy, of North Liberty. On Sunday, August 27, the North Liberty Church of the Brethren with Ron Mummert will hold the 8:30 a.m. worship service out at Peppermint Hill, Potato Creek State Park. The William Lowry family held their reunion on Sunday, Aug. 13, at the Stuntz-Hochstetler social room. 77 members were present to enjoy the day with a bountiful dinner at the noon hour. The oldest present was Pearl (Lowry) Kring, 82, of Wabash. Our sympathy this week goes to Joe and Mary Morey, on Williams St., for the loss of their daughter, Julie, only 34. Joel Limerick, son of Alan and Paula Limerick and Andy Kaser, son of Doug andd Myra Kaser were taken to Lincoln, DI., by their parents, on Sunday, where they were enrolled in Lincoln Christian College. On Monday, Marcie Ross, daughter, of Logan and Susie Ross, enrolled also at the same college. The following enjoyed an eight day trip to Colorado and returned home on Sunday afternoon. Those taking the trip were Carol Carbiener, Joyce Knepp, Betty McCormick, Connie Rupel and Marguerite O’Connor. They flew into the new airport at Denver and from their they rented a car to go sightseeing. Many points of interest was enjoyed by the ladies. Du Wayne & Becky Burch spent
from Thurs. til Sat., in Archbold, Ohio, where they spent time touring Sauder’s Farm and enjoyed dinner in the Bam Restaurant. Sat. they spent the day with Becky’s aunt, Clarice Bulla and took her and her granddaughter, Laura, out to eat at Montpelier. All in all they had a great three days vacationing. falling and breaking her hip and is in St. Joseph Medical Center, room 573, South Bend. So please remember her and also Bob who suffered a light heart attack and has been released from the hospital and is staying at the home of a daughter, Beth, at the present time. The Treasure Chest was busy over the Festival with people filling bags for $2.00 and then signing up for the drawing with April Hartley, of Mishawaka, winning the cash drawing. I am also happy to report that Millie Kaser won the quilt, so it stayed in the area, as she had cousin’s whose names were on the quilt.

copy, and produced some amazing results: veterans reading other veteran’s stories and saying, "Hey I didn’t know you were there, I was there too, at about the same time! WOW!!” The August 10th issue of "The Independent-News” listed ail the veterans who had contributed stories up to that point. Since then there have been ten more whom we would like to recognize at this time: Lester A. Theis, Robert H. Wardman, Harold Schweder, Paul Zukas, Lee Gingenpeel, Fred Daniels, Louis Seitz (MIA), John Cowger, Neil Downey, Bill Bouse and B. Burdell Williams. Thanks again to all who sent in stories about their loved ones who are deceased. Many veterans stories were undoubtedly missed, for which we are sorry. We did the best we could. Helen D.
