EUGENE B. DIXON Eugene Beryl Dixon, 78, of 10375 Indiana 23, died at 4:20 p.m. /Wednesday, August 22, in Vet- । erans Affairs Medical Center, Fort I Wayne, after an illness. He was I born Jan. 5, 1917, in London, • Kentucky. On December 24,1943, 4n San Jose, California, he married i Shirley Friedman. She died Sept- ' ember 27, 1987. He was a retired self-employed furniture upholster!er. । Surviving are three daughters, ’ Barbara Blaser of Chatham, Illinois, Carla Cutting of Portland, i Maine, and Roberta Sitek, of Nappanee; a son, Kenneth of San Die- ; go; 11 grandchildren; three great- | grandchildren; a siter, Wilma Back of Scottsburg, Indiana; and a brojther, Ralph of Walkerton. ERNSBERGER Larry J. Ernsberger, 47, of 3739 ^Plymouth-LaPorte Trail, died at j 12:55 a.m. Saturday, August 5, in his home after an illness. Mr. j Ernsberger was a sheet metal t worker for Ideal Consolidated, South Bend. He was born October 25, 1947, in Plymouth, and was a , lifelong area resident. , Surviving are a son, Jeffery M. of Walkerton; his parents, Harold ’ and June Emsberger of Walkerton; _ a sister, Lisa Emsberger of Walkerton; and three brothers, Jerry of ’ Nashville, Indiana, and Terry and j Garry, both of Plymouth. DIPERT h Services for Lucille L. Dipert, 87, of 4100 Leslie Street, Koontz i ^ake, Walkerton, who passed away i at 2:50 p.m., on Monday, July 31, in St. Joseph Hospital of Marshall i County, Plymouth, were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 3, : at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. Burial followed at the Grovertown Cemetery. Mrs. Dipert was bom on Jan. 12, 1908, in Chicago. She married Richard Dipert, on Oct. 15,1949, in (Chicago, who survives. She was a I retired secretary from Chicago. Also surviving is a daughter, Arlene Affel, of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; a son, Arnold, of Urbana, 11.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a member of the GFWC Woman’s (Community Gub, Walkerton and the Grovertown United Methodist Church, where she was also organist and she served as secretary of । Koontz Lake Conservation Club. WALTER WHITESELL Walter Whitesell, 55, of 9860 E. 100 N., Knox, Indiana, died 2:45 p.m. Friday, August 4 in Starke Memorial Hospital after an illness. He was bom January 27, 1940, in Grovertown. Mr. Whitesell was a forklift driver for Aker Plastic Co., Plymouth Surviving are five daughters, Mary Clemons, Rose Martin and Tammy Whitesell, all of Knox, Gayle Whitesell of North Judson and Peggy Hjertquist of Culver; two sons, Robert of Plymouth and Danny of Knox; 16 grandchildren; a sister, Lucille-Drane of-Knox;
three brothers, Donald of Bradenton, Florida, Willard Jr. of Tyner and Charles Boomhower of Plymouth; a step-brother, David Drane of Knox. A grandson preceded him in death. Services were Monday in Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Burial was in Pletcher Cemetery, Hamlet. PATRICIA L. NUKALA Patricia L. Nukala, 64, of Lake Worth, Florida, formerly of South Bend, died July 31 in her home. Mrs. Nukala was bora July 1, 1931 in Logansport, Indiana, and lived in South Bend until 1994. In 1968, in Walkerton, as Patricia L. Martin, she married August Raymond Nukala. He survives with a daughter, Lynn Schmidt of North Liberty; three sons, John Stasko of Granger, Mike Stasko of Columbia City and Dan Nukala of Germany; four step-daughters, Pat Lacouture and Pam McGrath, both of Connecticut, Cindy Kivela of Virginia and Karen Edwards of North Carolina; 17 grandchildren; four great-grand-children; a sister, Barbara Bonner of Michigan City; and four brothers, Robert Martin of St. Paul, Minn., Tom Martin of Lompoc, California, Dick Martin of Plymouth and John R. Martin of Las Vegas. Memorial services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the home of her daughter, Lynn Schmidt of North Liberty. Cremation will take place. The Forest G. Hay Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by the Town Council of the Town of North Liberty, Indiana for street resurfacing within the Town of North Liberty until 7:00 p.m., August 21, 1995 at the Town Hall, 118 N. Main Street., North Liberty, Indiana at which time the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals may be delivered or mailed to P.O. Box 515, to arrive to the Clerk-Treasurer before 4:00 p.m., August 21, 1995 or may be delivered to the Town Council at the Town Hall immediately prior to the specified time for opening of proposals. List of streets and specifications may be obtained at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, 118 N. Main St., North Liberty, Indiana. Proposals shall include fully executed copies of Indiana Standard Form 96A. Proposals shall be accompanied by a Certified Check of Bank Draft payable to the Town of North Liberty, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and surety company in an amount equal to 5% of the Bid as a guarantee that the bidder, is the Bid is accepted, will execute and file the proposed Contract and Bond within ten (10) days after award of the Contract. A Bid Bond shall be accompanied by a letter from the surety company stating that the surety company will provide the below required performance bond should the contractor be the successful bidder. The Certified Check of Bank Draft will be returned to the bidders immediately after the signing of the contract by the Town of North Libertv. A performance and Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100 per cent of the total Contract price will be required of the successful bidder. Proposals and all supporting instruments must be submitted on the forms designated and must be delivered in a sealed envelope addressed addressed to the Town of North Liberty, Indiana. The name and address of the bidder, project name, and the date of the opening of bids must appear on the envelope in which the proposal is submitted.
The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to award a Contract in the best interests of the Town of North Liberty.
