St. Pat’s Offers Alternative Education Small class size and religious foundations are two characteristics that make St. Patrick School a place of alternative education. No class exceeds 25 students. Teachers have time to offer individualized instruction and to counsel students throughout the day. The parent/grandparent volunteers provide even more individual attention to the gifted students as well as to the ones who need more time to learn. Basic Giristian formation is given priority in each day’s instruction. The same religious teaching is carried into the entire curriculum. From this grounding flows the children’s affirmation and recognition not only of their own self worth but also the worth of each other person. The school year will open on Monday, August 21st. Teachers will welcome students in grades 1 to 6at 8:10 a.m. An assembly at 10:00 a.m. in the school hall will be followed by Mass in church, the highlight of the day. Parents are invited to join students and teachers for both these activities. Students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. Buses will not run until Tuesday. Parents are expected to provide rides for their children on Monday. Lunch will be served. Mrs. Judith Z. Rush will prepare menu and meals.
