ball, volleyball and golf are also being investigated for the near future. “We’re excited about bringing in student athletes from around the midwest to play for Ancilla College,” said Ancilla board of trustees chair, James Brendel. “A solid athletic program can add a real positive dimension to an integrated student body,” said Brendel. “There are hundreds of student athletes within our region that are wanting the opportunity to play college sports,” said Ancilla president, Dr. William J. Shustowski. “We have a perfect place where they can be assured of getting a solid education at an affordable price, quality playing time, and retain their eligibility to play at a four year institution when they transfer,” Shustowski said. Student athletes at Ancilla College will be required to carry a minimum of 12 credit hours and maintain at least a 2.0 G.P.A. (on a 4.0 scale).
