SERVICES NEWS WALKERTON Monday Harold and Hazel Schweder were in charge of the books and program. The owner of a small travel agency saw an attractive couple gazing at his travel posters. Suddenly inspired, he ran up and told them his idea. ”I'll give you an all expenses paid vacation in exchange for appearing in ads endorsing my agency.” They agreed on the spot. Three weeks later he met them at the airport. While the man checked on the baggage the travel agent asked the woman about the trip. "The food on the cruise ship was wonderful, she said, and flying the Concorde was a thrill. But I do have one question. Who was the man I had to sleep with everynight?” On Tuesday Helen Verkier read us a poem out of the South Bend Tribune. Martha Young read us a funny joke. If men got pregnant, it’s a sure bet, fewer children they’d beget. They’d have to wear maternity clothes, and sport big bellies and sagging hose. Their macho ways and manly swagger, would be replaced by maternity stagger. If men got pregnant, I guarantee, large families would be history. Just hearing other guys complain, they’d decide childless to remain If men get pregnant, prepare to see, an upsurge in virginity. If men gave birth, I kid you not, their zippers would stay zipped a lot. Swollen ankles, varicose veins, upset stomach, labor pains — If men got pregnant, it’s very clear, a lot of us would not be here. Jane Dunham On Wednesday we had a large crowd and lots of fun with Sam Madonna and Florence Seekings with us playing their guitars and singing. Elinore Leming gave prayer.
