prayers and send her a birthday card to cheer her. Her address is 63106 Redwood Road, North Liberty, IN 46554. Well, here it is the last day of April. Have any of you been lucky enough to find any mushrooms as yet. I thought it was still too cold for them to pop up but not so, as my cousin, Helen Clark, called me and told me her son, Jim, came and brought her a mess of mushrooms so I told her to eat them and think of me. Sure wish my son would bring me some. Ha Ha. Congratulations to Delbert and Grace Stutzman, of Tyner, of whom many of you readers know who celebrated their 60th anniversary on Sunday afternoon at the Blissville Church. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Baughman. of Plymouth, will be celebrating their golden wedding anniversary on Saturday, May 13th, at the Hochstetler Pines Fellowship Hall on Tyler Road near Walkerton. Our sympathy goes to Ruth Clark and her family in the loss of Durwood this past week. Many of you will remember when he was owner and operator of North Liberty Tool & Die Co. and then later worked at Bendix Corp, and Main Engineering, both in South Bend. He leaves his wife, Ruth, a daughter, Luwane and a son, Gordon and four grandchildren. Many of you will remember when they lost their son, Edwin, on November 19,

Forty-eight relatives and neighbors and friends of Dave and Pam Craft were invited to join them for a party-on-a-bus to help them celebrate the climax of Byron’s college career. He was made producer, musical director and technical director for a play entitled ‘Chicago to New York On The 20th Century Train.’ What a play it was, the music was great and the characters did an outstanding job. The play was held at the DePauw University Theater. The bus left North Liberty at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon and what a party with Dave Craft and Dennis Prout playing their guitars with all joining in singing. Others adding to the fun were Pam Craft, her mother Ruth Black, from Florida, Betty Peddycord, Enid Liggett and Gladys Sheneman. We arrived at DePauw at 5:00 p.m. and later enjoyed dinner at the lovely Walden Inn and then went to the theater to see the play at 8:00 which lasted until 10:30. We sang all the way home through the rain and arrived at the Baptist Church parking lot at 2:00 Sunday morning. Thanks Pam and Dave for a great trip. A good number of volunteers who volunteer at Miller’s Merry Manor enjoyed a delicious dinner last Tuesday evening in the social room. It was scheduled to be a cook-out but due to the weather had to be indoors. Entertainment was by Madelyn Nelson at the piano and Gladys Sheneman giving a reading on hugs and telling about the old outhouse burning down in Nebraska. Several prizes were won and all received a volunteer cup, pencil and pad. It was a fun evening. Please remember Anna Lou Houser as she is a patient after undergoing surgery in LaPorte Hospital.
