ON DEAN’S LIST FOR THIRD QUARTER AT ROSE-HULMAN Timothy D. Pletcher, a junior from 505 Indiana St., Walkerton, son of Dirk and Kay Pletcher; and Michael T. Finney, junior, of 27450 Quinn Road, North Liberty, son of Thomas and Catherine Finney, have been named to the dean’s list for the winter quarter of the academic year at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Both are pursuing a degree in chemical engineering. They were among 433 undergraduate students who earned at least a 3.3 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), according to Jess R. Lucas, vice president for student affairs. Rose-Hulman is a private engineering and science college that has been cited by U.S. News & World Report and Money magazines as one of America’s best colleges. The college offers degrees in chemical, civil, computer, electrical and mechanical engineering; applied optics, chemistry, computer science, economics, mathematics and physics. Rose-Hulman, which has an en rollment of 1,300 students, wil enroll women in its undergraduate programs for the first time nex fall.
