It will be presented at the 9:30 a.m. worship service and is under the direction of Madelyn Nelson. Organist is Caroline Shupert, and Betty McCormick is pianist. Todd Burch is soloist for “Gethsemane” and Becky Burch is singing the solo “Why?” A quartet number, “Jesus Is The Sweetest Name I Know”, will be sung by Debra Knepp, Karen Burch, Julie Bontrager and Karen Warner. Other numbers included are “On A Rugged Hill”, “In The Image Os God”, “Christ Is Risen From The Dead”, and “All Glory To Jesus”. A most important point, involving this message is Jesus’ resurrection three days after His crucifixion. The Bible outlines it, history substantiates it, and all people who have experienced the reality of His saving grace declare it — “Jesus Lives!” Everyone is invited to attend this inspirational service on Easter morning at 9:30 a.m. Fred Stayton is pastor and welcomes any visitors. Thursday evening, April 13, a “Maundy Thursday” service will be held in the church sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. Following at 7:30 p.m. will be choir practice. A “Good Friday” service will be held at the North Liberty United Methodist church for the community at 12:00 noon. Rev. Ron Mummert, of the Church of the Brethren, will be the speaker for this service. On Easter morning a “Sunrise” service will be held at 7:30 p.m. followed by breakfast in the Fellowship Hall of the North Liberty United Methodist Church at 8:00 a.m. You are welcome.

Revival Service At The First Baptist Church The First Baptist Church of Walkerton will have Revival Services April 16th through the 23rd. Evangelist Darcel McCoy, of Michigan City, will be the special speaker. The Sunday services will be at 9:30 and 10:30 and all evening services are at 7:00 p.m. Darcel and Gale were married on June 18, 1977 and they have four children, Charmaine, Sharon, Darcel, Jr. (Butch), and Faith. They will also accompany him in the services. Darcel McCoy was bom and reared in Gary. As a teenage, he was a typical “juvenile delinquent”. Fortunately, in 1970, he managed to graduate from high school. After several years as a rock musician and singer, Darcel found himself facing the fact that he was wasting his life away. Realizing the pleasures of sin only last a little while, he began to seek for contentment that the world could not satisfy. As a result of reading the Bible and being witnessed to by earnest soul-winners, he was saved in Los Angeles in 1975. After returning to his hometown, he was called to preach and began preaching in January of 1977. Eventually, he pastored a traditional “Missionary” Baptist Church in Gary. After several years there he was led to leave and start an Independent Fundamental, Baptist Church in Gary. In 1988 he entered Fairhaven Baptist College where he graduated in the spring of 1994. The public is welcome and invited to the Revival Services at the Church, located at Gark and Maine Streets, in Walkerton. Rev. D. O. Van Dyne is the pastor.
