The prospective groom is the son of Beth Anderson, of South Bend, and the late Larry Anderson. WOMAN’S COMMUNITY CLUB WILL HOLD BREAKFAST AT AL’S DINER APRIL 7 The GFWC Walkerton Woman’s Community Cub will hold their annual Breakfast at Al’s Diner at Koontz Lake on April 7th at 9:30 a.m. They will hold a Silent Auction at the May sth meeting. Members are asked to bring articles for the sale. They are also reminded that this will be a carry-in luncheon and will convene at 12:00 noon.
J.G. Schools Set Kindergarten Round-Up Dates The John Glenn School Corporation has released the plans for the Kindergarten Roundups. The North Liberty Roundup will be Thursday, April 6 at 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. • Walkerton Elementary will be Thursday, April 6, at 1:00 and 7:00 p.m. It is very imporant that all parents of children who will be five (5) on or before June Ist attend this meeting. The school asks the children not to attend this meeting. During the roundup parents will: Complete registration forms; Have birth certificates (from county health department checked); Sign up for a kindergarten screening; North Liberty April 12 and 13; Walkerton Elementary School, April 19, 20,21; Receive dental and health information and forms Meet other parents to discuss car pools; Receive a kindergarten handbook; and Receive an explanation of our kindergarten programs. A legal birth certificate is required. This can be obtained from the county health department in which your child was bom. * There will be no school for Pre-K and Kindergarten students on the screening dates above. WALKERTON JR. SHERRY KLINEDINST TO PERFORM CONCERT On April 23 at 7:30 p.m., Sherry Klinedinst will be performing a piano dedication concert at the Walkerton United Methodist Church. Sherry is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, with a degree in piano performance and began performing in churches at an early age. She has served as pianist and organist for the United Methodist Church since the age of thirteen, has been musical direcor at Amish Acres for the past four years, and will be performing at the Wagon Wheel Playhouse in Warsaw this summer. Her versatile keyboard skills are evident in the wide variety of music in her repertoire. The program will consist of a diverse selection of music including ragtime, show tunes, pop, classical and gospel.
