IVY TECH SCHEDULES PRE-ENROLLMENT SEMINARS Students planning to enroll at Ivy Tech State College the first time for the summer or fall semesters may attend one of several College Readiness seminars. Three seminars are scheduled at the 1534 W. Sample Street campus in April. On April 8, the seminar begins at 8:30 a.m.; an April 10 seminar will be held at 1:00 p.m. The seminars area part of the registration and admission process required of students seeking to enroll in degree programs or receive financial aid. They are also open to those exploring the possibility of enrolling in college classes in the future. The seminars match the knowledge and skills incoming students bring to college with the level of classes and support services the student will need to succeed. The results are available immediately to help identify a student’s strengths as well as skills still needed specific subject areas. Students can then be placed in classes that will strengthen and build logically on that skill level. Those planning to attend a seminar should call (219) 289-7001, ext. 8322, to assure available space. In 1939, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth became the first British monarchs to visit the United States.
