was a very thrifty man, he gave his wife a cemetery plot for a gift for their anniversary. The wife knowing how he was, thought, oh well, that’s O.K. So the next year came around and they got into a big fight. He came home from work and the wife said, “Do you remember what today is?’’ The husband said, “Yes, this is our anniversary.’’ The wife said, “Did you get me something, dear?” The husband said, “No, you didn’t use what I got you last year!" On Tuesday Vi Wolff, Maxine Worthington, Huby Hanneman, Dorothy Saylor and Virginia Anhold entertained us with their music. Sandy Hartsell brought her little kids from the day care nursery school to entertain us. What a joy it is to see little kids perform like they do. Ruth Ullery brought candy for everyone. Mildred McKesson gave prayer. Thank you, Mildred. On Wednesday we just sat around and talked and caught up on all the news in Walkerton. Thursday Jessie Schaeffer gave the program. Landlady: I charge $30.00 a night and only $15.00 if you make your own bed. Guest: I’ll make my own bed. Landlady: Hang on, I’ll get you a hammer and nails. Husband: Darling, I went in and paid the doctor another SSO today. Wife: Isn’t that wonderful! just think, three more payments and the baby will be ours. On Friday, we had our regular sing-a-long with Verice Walz at the piano and Virginia Anhold leading us in singing. Thank you ladies for the work that you do, you are very much appreciated. Come to REAL Services and join in on all the entertainment that we have. Call Betty Gapper at 5867600.
