to force 15 Falcons miscues in the first eight minutes alone. Coach Hostetler’s troops were unable to get into their offense and quickly fell behind 24-6 and before the dust cleared his team was trailing 27-11 at the first stop. But the Falcons were not dead yet as they came out in the second period and played like a different team outscoring the Pilgrims 15-4 to fly back to within 31-26 at the intermission. Senior center Tracey Legge, playing in her final game as a Falcon, had four of her team high 19 points and eight of her game high 19 rebounds in the quarter to pace the Falcon comeback. In the third frame, Plymouth’s 5’11” sophomore center Corey Duncan, came alive and quickly put to rest any Falcon thoughts of an upset as she scored eight straight points to help power her team to a commanding 54-36 advantage at the third stop. The Falcons would get no closer as the winners outscored the locals 13-7 in the final chapter. Glenn’s other outstanding senior, Renee Fisher, closed out her career with eight points which included her first trey of the year. Duncan led Plymouth to its 15th win in 19 outings with her 22 game high points. BOX SCORE Plymouth fg ft fta tp Brenda Trump 3 2 2 9 Laura Sieber 0 2 2 2

BTH GRADE GIRLS ROMP IN SEASON OPENER 41-19 Urey Middle School’s eighth grade girls basketall team opened its 1995 season with a convincing 41-19 triumph at Argos Thursday afternoon. After a slow start, the Falcons exploded for 17 points in the third quarter to take complete command of the contest. Coach Dan Hutton attributed his team’s slow start to first game jitters. The Falcons broke from a 4-4 deadlock at the end of the initial period to take a 10-4 edge to the dressing room at the intermission. The black clad visitors' big third period offensive outburst put Urey up 27-13 to start the final six minute segment. The winners outscored the host Dragons 14-6 in the final frame to cap off an outstanding 36 point second half effort. Jennifer Traub led a well-balanc-ed Falcon attack with 16 points. Lynna Potts and Jessice Traub chipped in six points each while Beth Honaker and Becca Strahm added four tallies apiece. Others scoring for the local were Tammy Wasteney 3, Melissa Craig 1 and Alissa Fuentes 1. Misty Whitmer also played well. Amanda Norris led Argos, 1-2, with nine points.
