Urey P.T.A. Names Teachers Os The Month Rik. KH ■». vi Again this year, the Urey P.T.A. is recognizing the teachers at Urey Middle School by sponsoring ‘‘The Teacher Os The Month” activity. Teachers are chosen by the Urey P.T.A. through student or parent recommendations. Pictured above is Miss Melissa Teacher of the Month for December, and Gerry Brown, teacher of the Month for November. Miss Foy teaches General Music, Regular Choir and Advanced Choir to students at Urey. Her duties are also extended to the high school where she directs the Concert and

Couple Celebrates 50th Wedding Anniversary Lawrence and Marilyn Stull, 701 Ohio Street, Walkerton, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary as guests at a surprise party, given by their children on Saturday, January 28, at the American Legion Hall, Walkerton. Lawrence Stull and Marilvn Jones were married February 9, 1945, in South Bend. The Stulls have two children, Larry Stull, Gwynneville, Indiana, and Terri Zboril, Ross, Ohio. They also have four grandchildren. Lawrence (“Larry”) is semi-re-tired after 31 years service from Plas/Steel Products, Walkerton. Marilyn is a housewife. Becker Joins May, Oberfell & Lorber Firm Jane F. Becker has joined the I law firm of May, Oberfell & Lorber, I according to the firm’s managing Partner, Jeffery A. Johnson. A 15-year veteran of the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office, Ms. Becker previously held the position of Chief Deputy Prosecutor where, in addition to her duties as a litigator, she served as the liaison between the prosecutor’s office & all law enforcement agencies. “Jane’s considerable litigation experience and trials skills, developed as Chief Deputy Prosecutor, will be a valuable asset to May, Oberfell & Lorber,” stated Johnson. Story Hour At The Walkerton Public Library Story hour has begun at the Walkerton Library. Every Saturday from now through March 25th, Wendy Dittmer will be doing story hour on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Any children ages three and up are welcome to come. There is no registration necessary. On February 4th the children will be hearing Bruce Talkington’s Winnie the Pooh’s Valentine, a new book just arrived at the library. Then they will make dancing Valentines to take home for their sweethearts (or Mom). The Best Valentine in the World by Marjorie Sharmat will be the feature story on February 11th.
