The win enabled the Falcons even their overall record at 7-7 while the Blackhawks suffered their 12th set-back without a win on the year and their 51st consecutive loss over three seasons. The contest was never in doubt as the black clad Falcons rolled to a 17-6 first quarter lead and never looked back. Glenn took a commanding 31-11 advantage to the dressing room at halftime. The third quarter proved to be much the same as the first half as the local gals scored at will and were comfortable on top 54-21 at

the end of the third stanza. Westville could manage only one field goal in the last eight minute segment as Glenn completely dominated the outmanned hosts 20-2. Glenn’s 74 point total was the most offensively in a game for the Falcons under Coach Hostetler, topping the 73 point outburst against Christian Center in 1993. Four Falcons were in double digits in the scoring column led by senior forward Tracy Legge’s 17 tallies. Senior Renee Fisher chipped in with 13 points and sophomores Angel Dietrich and Tracey Futa added 10 points each. Sophomore Sarah Hannon topped all Blackhawk performers with eight markers. The local gals raced to a 25-0 lead before Westville could get on the scoreboard. Glenn led 10-0 at the first stop and 19-0 at the intermission. The Falcons were on top 33-5 at the start of the final chapter. The win boosted coach Dan Hutton’s quintet’s record to an impressive 12-2 mark while the host team fell to 1-12 on the year. Johanna Hathaway and Heidi Wasteney paced the Falcons attack with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Share Oke added nine tallies, Holly Legge seven, Ojeta Oke six and Lexia Drews two. Danielle Ludwig also played well. The nearer we get to any natural object the more incomprehensible itbecomes. A grain of sand is undoubtedly not what I take it to be. —G. C.
