St. Joseph County Circuit Court on imminent domain proceedings for property adjacent to Urey Middle School. b. Alternative School The school board was informed that five students from John Glenn High School are registered for the Alternative School. Classes are scheduled to begin on January 23, 1995. 2. Reports to Board a. Conferences Approved b. Conference Reports The school board received written reports on conferences that had been approved for attendance and reports on conferences attended. SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS School board members responded to recent questions and concerns about increasing enrollments in the elementary school and possible need for additional classrooms in the future. The school board is aware of the potential need and has developed a list of options to be considered as alternatives and they include the use of portable classrooms from Urey Middle School, increasing and balancing of class sizes and possible additional classrooms being built. If additional classrooms are necessary, the corporation will be in a financial position to deal with this need as a result of the more conservative approach taken in addressing the middle school facility improvements. NEXT MEETING DATE The school board will meet in special session on January 16, 1995, at 7:30 p.m. in the John Glenn High School for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on
the proposed lease for financing the improvements to Urey Middle School. The school board meeting scheduled for January 24, 1995 has been canceled and the next regular meeting will be on February 7, 1995 at 7:30 p.m. in the John Glenn High School. ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. EXECUTIVE SESSION An executive session was held for the purpose of discussing job performance evaluation of individual employees. No other matters
