h & 4 eggs 21 2 cups milk Paprika Remove crusts from bread Lightly butter both sides of each slice Line bottom of a 9 x 13 inch baking dish (preferably glass) with six slices bread Top with chiles and half the cheese Add a layer of six slices bread and remaining cheese Top with sardines Halve remaining three slices of bread diagonally, arrange decoratively over sardines In mixing Ixjwl beat eggs lightly, stir in milk Pour over bread layer Sprinkle with paprika, cover dish with plastic wrap Refrigerate overnight Next day, remove plastic wrap, place dish in cold oven Heat oven to 325 F Bake 50 minutes or until golden and custard is set Cut into squares, serve at once Makes eight large servings EGG SALAD SANDWICH 4 large eggs I; cup low-fat mayonnaise 4 tablespoons finely diced celery 2 tablespoons minced red onion 1 4 cup pickle relish, drained 1 4 cup finely chopped pickled red cherry peppers Salt and pepper 4 lettuce leaves N slices bread Place eggs in a saucepan and add enough tap waler to cover by at least one inch alxive eggs ('over, bring to j txul Turn off heat, if necessary, remove pan from burner to prevent further cooking Let stand in hot water IS minutes Cool under cold running water Stir together mayon naise, celery, onion, pickle relish and pickled [x*p|x*rs Peel and chop eggs Add mayonnaise mixture, and season with salt and pepper to taste To assemble sandwiches, spread egg salad on four slices of bread, div id (ng evenly Top each with lettuce leaf and remaining slice of bread Cut m half and serve Makes four servings C 1996 by King Syivi "Study Skills Workshop", Sarah will introduce effective study skills, techniques and library usage.
