Crank To Speak At Local Church Sunday Ml k'H Rev. Charles E. Crank, of Indianspolis, will be speaking at the First Assembly of God Church on Sunday, January 8, at 10:30 am., in Walkertron. Rev. Crank is the Superintendent of the Indiana District of the Assemblies of God. He has served in this position since October 1974. Under his leadership, the Assemblies of God in Indiana has grown to be a Fellowship of 223 churches and approximately 500 ministers. He began his preaching ministry as a teenager, and by the time he had finished his formal education he had developed a widely accepted evangelistic ministry. He traveled throughout the United States preaching revivals and evangelistic crusades. His ministry has taken him to more than 35 countries in Africa, Europe, Asia and the Americas. He is often invited to speak at church conferences, conventions and campmeetings across the nation. He has been a featured speaker at the General Council of the Assemblies of God and the Pentecostal Fellowship so North America. In October 1974, he was elected by the ministers and delegates of the Indiana District Council to serve as District Superintendent His ministry was divided between pastoral and evangelistic work until 1969 when he was chosen to serve as the Indiana District Youth Director. In 1970, he was elected at Executive Secretary-Treasurer for the organization and served for four years immediately prior to this election as Superintendent. Rev. Crank has been a member of the General Presbytery of the Assemblies of God since 1970. He served on th Board of Regents of North Cental Bible College in Minneapolis, Minnesota and the Board of Directors of Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Ministers Benefit Associaton, The Indianapolis Teen Challenge Center and Church Extension Plan. Rev. Crank and his wife Janice have three grown children, two daughters and a son. Indianapolis has been their home since April 1969. CLELA M. NORTHAM Gela M. Northam, 76, of Mil ler's Merry Manor. Walkerton, died at 7:59 p.m. Tuesday in the nursing home after an extended illness. She was born July 20. 1918. As Gela Stoffel she married Leonard I) Northam in April, 1940, in Walkerton. He died in December, 1968. Mrs Northam was a lifelong resident of Walkerton and a homemaker. Surviving arc five daughters, (. hcryl Hunsley and Kimberly Towle, of Walkerton, Linnie Steele. Elkhart, Jem Sue Scott and Rogene Ranker!, both of South Bend, four sons, Dennis, Lakeville; Ronnie. South Bend. Leonard. North Liberty, and Greg, of Plymouth; 26 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren. A son. Bernard, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the NusbaumElkin Funeral Home, Walkerton Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Walkerton. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. ANNE I. CLARK Anne I. Gark, 88. of Miller's Merry Manor, Walkerton, formerly of 1006 Virginia Streeet, died at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. December 27, in the nursing home after an illness. She was bom September 6. 1906, in Viroqua, Wisconsin. On September 28. 1931. in Rochester, she married Geo R. Gark, who died November 11. 1989. She is Surviving are a daughter. Martha Kaminski, of Grovertown; five sons. Lawrence Crume of Los Angeles, John Gark of Plymouth, Paul Gark of Sacramento, California, Stephen Gark of LaPorte, and Randall Gark of Hope, Idaho; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grand-children. A son, William R. Gark preceded her in death. Mrs Gark was a member of the Walkerton United Methodist Church and served as church secretary for six years. Services were held at 11:00 a m Friday in the church. Burial was in Polk Township Cemetery, Marshall County. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity. The Rannells Funeal Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements. EDWARD KESL Edward Kesl, 86, of Miller's Merry Manor, Walkerton, died at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28 in the nursing home after a long illness. He was born June 23, 1908, in Cicero, Illinois. On June 1, 1935, in Cicereo, he married Gara J. Grzeskowiak. who died November 5, 1983. Mr Kesl was a former machinist for Allis-Chal-mers Co., LaPorte. Surviving are a two daughters, Carol Huffstetter, of Walkerton, and Donna Kesl of Los Angeles, California; two sons, Edward of South Holland, Illinois, and George of Salt Lake City, Utah; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grand-children. Mr. Kesl was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, walkerton Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m Saturday in St. Patrick's Church. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. The Rannells Funeral Home. Koontz Lake Chapel was in charge of the arrangements. FAYE HANCOCK Faye Hancock. 78, of 4220 N. County Road 600 E., Hamlet, died at 4:45 p.m Wednesday tn Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso, after an illness. She was bom May 25. 1916. On February 26, 1938. she married Richard Hancock, who died March 8. 1971. Surviving are a daughter. Leann Johnson of LaPorte; three sons. Jerry at home, Ronald of Valparaiso, and Ray of Hamlet, eight grandchildren; and a sister, Alice Rogers of North Platte. Nebraska Mrs Hancock was a member of the
Better Homes 4 Gardens Gub and Women’s Christian Association of Marshall County. Services were held at 2:00 p.m Saturday in the Rannells Funeral Home. Hamlet Chapel. Burial was in Fletcher Cemetery.
