Holmes; and next door neighbor Gladys Sheneman. All enjoyed a gift exchange and a delicious brunch. One hundred thirty-five members of the Church of Christ attended the Christmas eve service with the Gary Brooks family in charge. They really made Christmas come alive and all lit a candle in closing and filled the outside of the sanctuary and sang Silent Night. What a beautiful sight to behold. Christmas evening Betty was hostess for twenty-four members of her family and some of their friends at an evening luncheon and gift exchange. Christmas eve guests at the home of Charles and Helen Hensley were Denny and Sue Lemert, Ronnie and Kim and Mitchell Lemert, Randy, Sharon and Kaylee Lemert, Wayne and Sandy Tumbleson, Jeff. ENTERTAIN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH CHOIR Caroline Shupert and Betty McCormick entertained members of the North Liberty United Methodist Church choir, their spouses, and families at Betty’s home following practice on Thursday evening. Floral pieces sent to be used on the serving table were presented to Caroline, church organist and Betty, church pianist. Honored choir members Elta and Max Steele have sung in and served the choir for over fifty years. They were surprised when they were presented a lovely holidayfloral arrangement from the choir.
