NORTH LIBERTY By Gladys Sheneman Well, it's time now to write some news since Christmas has come and gone already. I sure hope you all had a merry Christmas. 1 sure did. 1 went down to my granddaughter's on Friday night with Tammy and her family Chris, Brandon and Jamie and Gene and Norma Patrick. It was lots of fun to see my three year old granddaughter open all her Christmas gifts. But then again, that's what makes Christmas, the children. On Saturday afternoon callers of Gladys Sheneman were her neighbors bringing gifts. They were Mary Morey and daughter Julie,

Iva Pommert. Barb Hartman and Chuck and Jean Byland. All enjoyed tea and Christmas goodies together. Many of you will remember Larry Lent who use to manage the restaurant where Boomers arc today. Well, please remember him in your prayers and a get well card as he underwent surgery last week Employees of Potato Creek State Park held their Christmas party at the Fish Lake Inn on Tuesday night with 35 present. Those receiving awards were Tim Cordell, Karen Rozycki, Kenny Naragon and Charlie Williams. Games and slides of the park and its development was enjoyed by all. Would you believe 20 cabins are filled and all booked for another year already. Christmas day guests of George
and Wilda Henry, of New Road, were Brian and Nancy Henry and daughters Charity and Carrie, of Kenosha. Wisconsin; Dave and Debbie Rose and daughters Katie and Emily, of Dorr. Michigan; Roger and Marge Kronk; Ted and Sandy Kronk; Calvin and Clara Mac Kronk; LaMar and Dorothy Kronk and daughters Kim and LaDora and Kent Arnsbarger; Tom and Darla Fair. Lisa and Ryan; Alan and Paula Limerick. Joel and Tracy; Evan and Patty Henry; John Cindy and LeAnn and Kisa Knotzel. All enjoyed a delicious dinner at 4:30 with a Christmas gift exchange following. Gladys Sheneman entertained her family on Monday evening for their Christmas get together. Her son-in-law. Gene Patrick, built a fire in the fireplace and roasted weiners for all. My family enjoys the fireplace when we have our Christmas. All enjoyed opening their gifts and stockings hung on the fireplace. Hope you all had a merry Christmas and now I want to wish you all a healthy happy New Year in 1995. Now all those that received snowmobile outfits for Christmas want it to snow, including my great-grandson, Brandon. ' The Christmas cantata. More Than A Manger, under the direction of Wilda Henry presented by the choir, was given Sunday morning at the Church of Christ. Many took part besides the choir and it । was an inspiration to all who were I present to hear it, I'm sure. I Thanks, Wilda and all, for a great job well done. Please remember LaVon Oglesby who is back home and recovering but still needs your prayers and a call or card. Eugene and Evelyn Runyan entertained their family on Saturday evening for their Christmas get together with 44 present to enjoy the dinner and gift exchange. Remember to leave your outside Christmas decorations and lights on as it is this week the judges will be out driving by and judging your beautiful displays. There are sure a lot of beautiful lights in the area. The Dave Craft family entertained the residents over at Miller’s Merry Manor on Christmas eve. Please remember Robert Gingenpeel who underwent a triple heart bypass on Tuesday at St. Joseph Medical Ginic. Harry and Geora Kurzhal, of Smilax Road, celebrated Christmas on Sunday, December 18 with their daughter Jackie and husband Roy Butler, Christy and Jim Dremonas and son Justin, Stacy Butler and Brian McFatridge (her fiance), of Indianapolis and Jerry and Sherry Kurzhal and son Derick of South Bend. Please remember Harry at this time in your prayers as he is undergoing chemo therapy and has three more treatments to go. He said to tell you all how much he appreciates all his relatives and friends who are remembering him at this time. and Eva Ross. Ben died in 1974 and she died Tuesday in the Lafayette Health Care Center at the age of 91. Her funeral was Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Church where she was a member and she was also buried in the Lutheran Cemetery.
