N. L. 6th Grade Gives Family Holiday Help The 6th grade at North Liberty gave a family a better Christmas but they needed help and that is what they got. Each of the 6th graders brought in five dollars which equaled out to over S2OO. They also receivced many donations from local businesses. Kabelin's Hardware donated SSO in toys. Krogers in Plymouth donated an 11 pound ham which allowed the 6th graders to buy more food. Craft’s Drug Store here in town donated wrapping paper and many boxes. They also donated many food items. The 6th graders were split into com mi ties that were given a budget to buy for one purpose or one family member. The students then went shopping at K-mart, Kroger and the Dollar Store. We bought many items and as we were wrapping them Channel 22 news came and covered us. Later in the day some students went to deliver the presents and the food. I’m glad that I took part in helping a family have a Christmas similar to ours and 1 hope we can do this at Walkerton and in the future here at North Libety. Speaking for the 6th grade we hope you all know like we know know it is better to giv than to receive. Writing for the 6th grade Phil Crone and my assistant Andy Morris. Merry Christmas!
