win enabled Glenn to even Its record at 2-2 while the Dragons remained winless in three outings. The Falcons cam out looking sluggish in the first six minutes of play falling behind 9-4 and then settled down to get back within two at first break, 12-10. The home team stiffened on defense in the second eight-minute segment holding the black and gold clad visitors to just one field goal while struggling to a four point advantage at the intermission, 18-14. The two teams battled evenly in the third stanza with the Falcons clinging to a 26-22 lead at the stop. The fourth quarter proved to be the same as the previous eight minutes as the Falcons could not shake the stubborn Dragons but did convert on six of eight shots from the charity stripe to preserve the victory. Tracy Legge grabbed 17 rebounds and Renee Fisher had eight boards, six steals and five assists to pace the winners. Sophomore
Lindsay O’Connor topped a balanced Falcon attack with eight points but it was Candy Winters of Argos taking game scoring honors with 15 points. Neither team displayed much fire power from the field as the Falcons canned just 14 of 50 attempts for just 28 percent shooting. The losers managed only nine field goals in 40 tries for an even lower 22 percent. Glenn converted on eight of 13 charity tosses while Argos kept the game close drilling 130f17. The win improved the Falcons record to 3-1 while dropping the Dragon Jayvees to 1-2. The local girl* came out strong defensively shutting out the visitors in the first period while taking an 8-0 lead into the second quarter. Argos would get no doser as the Falcons led 15-6 at halftime. The winners used a big third frame to put the game out of reach as they built a 16-point advantage to lead 28-12 to start the final six minutes.
