erly known as Project SAFE. Elderly households (those aged 60 or over who are head of the household), the disabled, and those in an emergency situation, may begin applying November 14, 1994. Eligible households whose head is under the age of 60 may begin applying December 1, IW4. EAP will focus on income eligible households who are subject to energy costs or have electric/heating emergencies. Households will receive an energy benefit if determined eligible. Households wishing to make application should bring proof of all income for the past 12 months, electric and heating bills, social security numbers, birthdates, and lease agreement (if a renter). A special form is also required for household members who have had no income during the past year. This form may be obtained at the Council on Aging office. Applications will be taken at the Council on Aging office, 311 E. Culver Road, Knox, from 8:00. a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
