ORDINANCE #1994-07 Ordinance to establish non-re-curring charges for the North Liberty Water and Sewer Utilities. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the Town Council and its publication as required by statue. Description of Charge Charge Connections (tap-ins) Labor & Materials but not less than $250.00 for Water & $65.00 for SI.OO lineal foot of property abutting the sewer line for sewer Request for Special Meter Reading or for Meter Check SIO.OO if meter was read correctly first time and/or leak found in property plumbing. Bad Check Charge Water/Sewage $20.00 plus any bank charges. Late Payment Charge Water — 10% on first $3.00 plus 3% of al) amounts in excess of $3.00. Sewer — 10% of charge. Service Call — Water or Sewer $30.00 per hour per man plus materials during business hours. $50.00 per hour per man plus materials during non-business hours. Backhoe shall be charged at $75.00 per hour. Water Deposit $50.00 — property owners SIOO.OO — renter A. If the customer has been mailed a disconnect notice for two consecutive months or any three months within the preceding twelve month period, the Utility may require the customer to increase his or her deposit amount equal to an estimated charge, rounded to the nearest SIO.OO, for three months of metered consumption for the premises served but not less than the current deposit charges. Disconnection for Non-payment When water service has been disconnected for non-payment or when paid with a NSF check, the customer's deposit will be applied to the amount due. For reconnection, total amount due must be paid along with a new deposit and a reconnection charge of $20.00. Reconnection/Disconnection $20.00 during business hours $30.00 other times. Meter Tampering Charge SIOO.OO plus cost of repair and labor. Minimum payment for Water/Sewer Still due and payable whenever service has been temporarily disconnected for benefit of the customer. Single Service Stop Multiple Meters Where more than 1 meter is served by a single service stop, the owner of such property shall be held responsible for any delinquencies because of non payment of a tenant. Rental Property All final billings to tenants not paid within 30 days, will be billed to the landlord. If not paid within a reasonable time, the sewage portion will be filed with the proprty taxes as allowed by law. Passed and adopted by the Town

Post 1954 Auxiliary held their regular monthly meeting on September 11. It was the day following the Auxiliary’s SIOOO Elimn in ation Dinner and Raffle. Laura Melton and her committees announced the event to be a great success and they are to be highly commended. Other money making projects were discussed and ways to improve our organization were also on the agenda. We would like to see more members at our monthly meetings. We have a fine club and would like to see the many member participate. There has been a few transfers to our membership. If you would like more information about your eligibility to join our V.F.W.
