FRANCIS E. LABERE Francis E. Laßere, 75, of 72983 Indiana 23, Walkerton, died at 8:33 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph’s Hospital of Marshall County, Plymouth. He was born August 4, 1919, in Ray, North Dakota, and lived in Walkerton since 1945, coming from Howlev, Minnesota. On June 28, 1946, in Walkerton, he married Virginia Scarbrough, who survives. Mr. Laßere was co-owner of LaBere’s Septic Service. Also surviving are three sons, Ronald of Walkerton, Roy of Wexford, Pennsylvania, and Garry of Grovertown; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Eva Stickley of Walkerton; and three brothers, Cecil of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Donald of Chesterton, and Arthur of Bridges View, Illinois. A son, Ray E., died in 1955 and another son, Richard, died in 1990. Mr. Laßere was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post 189, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2852, and Fish Lake Conservation Club. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Nus-baum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemtery, Walkerton. DEBORAH K. CLARK Deborah "Deb’o” K. Clark, 39, of 907 S. State Street, North Liberty, died at 1:40 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after an illness. She was born November 8,1954, in North Liberty and was a lifelong resident. On August 16, 1975, in North Liberty, she married Nevin B. Gark, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Jeffrey M., at home; her parents, Harold and Georgia O’Connor, of North Liberty; a sister, Nancy Dolph, of North Liberty; three brothers, Jack O’Connor, of North Liberty, Larry O’Connor, of Sterling, Kansas, and Ronald O’Connor, of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Mrs. Clark was a 1973 graduate of North Liberty High School. Services were conducted at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the A. M. Manuel Funeral Home, North Liberty, with Rev. Kenneth Peterson officiating. Cremation will take place later. FLOYD L. BOWLES Floyd L. Bowles, 86, North Edgewater Drive, (Koontz Lake) Walkerton, died at 8:10 p.m. Friday in LaPorte Hospital, LaPorte. He was born November 14, 1907, in Manitoba, Canada. On September 28, 1930, in Hammond, he married Helen L. Hovr, who survives. Mr. Bowles was an electrician for 35 years for Northern Indiana Public Service Company, Hammond. Also surviving are two sons, James, of Crown Point, Indiana, and Lee, of Webster, New York; four grandchildren; a grat-grand-child; and a sister, Lois Price, of

Mr. Bowles was a member of the Walkerton Presbyterian Church, Hammond Knights of Pithias and the Koontz Lake Conservation Gub and was an honorary member of the Public Service Gub, Hammond. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. Burial was in Grovertown Cemetery, Grovertown. WILLIAM C. CLYNE, JR. William C. Gyne, Jr., 34, of Indiana 23, North Liberty, died at 4:38 p.m. Friday as result of a car-semi-truck accident on Indiana 23 north of North Liberty. He was born November 3, 1959, in Chicago Heights, Illinois and was an area resident for seven months, coming from Aurora, Illinois. He was a student at Purdue University. Surviving are his companion, Marie Casey, of North Liberty; his parents, Dolores and Williams C. Gyne, Sr., of St. Petersburg, Florida; five sisters, Mary Wagner and Betti Ann Williams, both of Aurora, Illinois, Gloria Flory, of Batavia, Illinois, and Nancy Marvin, of Oswego, Illinois; two brothers, Edward, of Springville, Oregon, and Timothy, of Garland, Texas; and maternal grandmother, Barbara Horner, of St. Petersburg, Florida. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation will take place with burial in Batavia Cemetery, Batavia, Illinois. The MaGann Funeral Home, 21275 W. Geveland Road, South Bend, was in charge of the arrangements. GERALDINE P. DORN AKER Geraldine P. Dornecker, 76, 21642 Gyde Ave., South Village, Illinois, formerly of Koontz Lake, died September 19, in South Village after an illness. She was born January 30,1918, in Michigan Gty. She was married to Frank Dornecker, who died February 2, 1991. Surviving are a daughter, Janet, of South Village, RHnoh, where she made her home; three sons, Eugene F, Gerald and Michael; 13 grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.th. Thursday in the Cedar Park Funeral Home, 12540 South Halsted St., Calumet Park, Illinois. Burial will follow in Cedar Park Cemetery.
