Helen Verkier read us some stories and jokes. Wednesday Jessie Schaeffer told us some short stories. Teacher, "I asked all of the dumbells to stand, and you’re the only one who did, Joe. Are you a dumbell?” Joe. "No, but I thought you may be a little lonely standing there by yourself’. Never mistake knowledge for wisdom. One helps you make a living; the other helps you make a life. Cross an oyster with an owl and you get "pearls of wisdom”. Thursday Marge Tracy had some short stories and poems for the group. Juice winners were Nellie Smith and Helen Verkier. Friday we had our regular sing-a-long with Verice Walz at the piano. Come to REAL Services and join us. Just call Betty Clapper at 5867600.
