OBITUARIES

PEARL L. WRIGHT Pearl L. Wright, 78. of 711 A St.. LaPorte, died at 10:20 a m. Sunday in the LaPorte Hospital. She was bom April 27. 1916, in Walkerton. She was a retired clerk from Friends Foodline. Survivors include her companion. Herschel "Pete” Powers, of LaPorte; a daughter, Gloria Mrozinski, LaPorte; a son. William "Sonny”, of LaPorte; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters. Virginia Gourley of Rolling Prairie, Opal Niver of South Bend, Janice Kersey of Valparaiso and Betty Essling of LaPorte; and three brothers, Robert Pearish of Plymouth, and Paul Pearish and Jerry Pearish, both of Walkerton. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Essling Funeral Home. LaPorte. Burial was in Patton Cemetery. CONSTANCE CHOJNACKI Constance Chojnacki, 91, of Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton, formerly of Koontz Lake, died Saturday at 4:30 a.m. in the nursing home. She was bom October 28, 1902, in Poland. On November 11, 1931, in Chicago, she married Frank Chojnacki, who died June 27, 1973. She had retired as a looper at Spalding Sporting Goods, Chicago. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Chojnacki was a member of the Homemakers Gub, Senior Citizens, Koontz Lake Conservation Gub. Ladies Guild of St. Dominic Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. Services were held at 10 00 a m. Tuesday in the Church. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Calumet City, Illinois. Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
