Walkerton. The bride graduated from Bremen High School and is a full time student at Ivy Tech. The groom graduated from John Glenn High School. He is employed by Elco Thermo Plastics as a moldmaker and attends Ivy Tech.
NORTH LIBERTY By Gladys Sheneman Marvin Graber, of Goshen, presented a special program Sunday evening at the North Liberty Mennonite Church. Mr. Graber is a blind musician. He plays the guitar, harmonica, auto harp and water glasses! Each water glass is selected for its tone and tuned to a particular pitch by having water in the glass. The sound is delightful. Mr. Graber inspired everyone with his testimony and his talent. William and Diane (Klingerman) Schuster are the proud parents of a baby son, Gunner Schuster, bom on August 5 in Goshen. He weighed 8 pounds and 10 ounces and was 21‘/j inches long. Sylvia Schuster is a great-grandmother and Tony and Josephine Pasman are the great-grandparents. Richard and Joane Klingerman are the maternal grandparents. Congratulations to all. Susie Teter, of Mishawaka, passed away Saturday noon in Miller’s Merry Manor in Walkerton. She had come from St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, on Friday where she had been a patient since last Monday. She died of congestive heart failure. She leaves two sons, Ronald of New Mexico and Kenneth of Mayflower Road and two sisters, Evelyn Stonebumer of Plymouth and Gladys Sheneman of North Liberty, and a host of relatives and friends. The birthday party at Miller’s Merry Manor was attended by a large crowd as eleven residents were celebrating birthdays during the month of August. They are Inez Hay (93), Charles Groshens (88), Lillian Hance (88), Marie Norris (86), Evelyn Peterson (77), Lillian Peterson (85), Bemadina Singleton (81), Emma Smith (104), Sarah Wilson (90), Harvey Denny (67), and Charles Stutton (76). Many of their family members were present and all enjoyed hearing John Sniciki, of Mishawaka, entertain with his concertina. The Walkerton Tri Kappa served birthday cake and punch. About 200 people enjoyed Sunday at Mr. and Mrs. Ron Gouker’s newly built home. It was really for all that helped to build their home, as so many relatives and friends had given of their time. It is located on State Road 4 West, second house out of the city limits. We welcome them to our neighborhood wish them well in their lovely new home. The North Liberty Volunteer Bremen enjoyed a picnic Saturday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Albright. They had a steak and corn roast along with all the other goodies. The children went swimming while the firemen and their wives visited. Gene and Norma Patrick and Paul and Jill Richey, of LaPorte, attended the 25th wedding anniversary of George and Linda Truhler on Saturday evening at the American Legion, which was a big surprise to them. About 100 relatives and friends attended the wedding of Rhonda Dill, daughter of Richard and Bertie Dill, of Smilax Road, to Walter Cole, on Niles, Michigan, which was held at the beautiful North Liberty Park at five o'clock. The weather was perfect and then the reception was held at the V.F.W. We wish them well as they start out on life’s highway together. My sister, Evelyn Stonebumer, of Plymouth, who underwent gall bladder surgery in the Plymouth Hospital on Thursday, was able to return to her home on Friday evening where she is recovering. She still needs our prayers. Sorry I just don’t have time to
