LOCAL STUDENT EARNS HIGHEST HONORS AT CARTHAGE COLLEGE Bradley Miller, a freshman at Carthage College, has been named to the Dean’s and Honors Lists for the spring 1994 semester. Miller, an accounting major, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Miles Miller, 10455 E. S.R. 4, Walkerton. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must earn a minimum of 3.5 grade point average for the term, based on at least 12 graded credits. Miller’s outstanding academic performance also qualifies him for the College’s Honors List, a distinction limited to upperclassmen who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.4, based on 32 or more graded credits and must have completed at least 16 credits during the previous term. Carthage is an independent college of the arts and sciences affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan between Milwaukee and Chicago, the College boasts a 147-year tradition of excellence in education. IVY TECH HOLDS REGISTRATION Ivy Tech State College officials have announced registration hours for Fall Semester classes. Weekend classes begin August 27; weekday classes begin August 29. At the South Bend campus, 1534 W. Sample St., students may register from August 1 through August 25. Registration hours are Mondays through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to noon.
