GLADIE M. SPRUNGER Gladie M. Sprunger, 86, of Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton, formerly of 502 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton, died at 3:45 a.m. Friday in MUler’s Merry Manor. She was born July 25, 1907, in North Liberty and have lived in Walkerton since 1939, coming from North Liberty. On May 15, 1926, in Berne, Indiana, she married Simeon Daniel "Sid” Sprunger, who died October 30, 1991. Surviving are a daughter, Elsie Keck, of Walkerton; a son, Roger D., of Jackson, Michigan; eight grandchildren; 12 great-great-children; and two great-great-grandchildren. A son, Kenneth W., died in 1988. Mrs. Sprunger was a member of the First Brethren Church, North Judson, and Daughters of the American Revolution Schuyler Colfax Chapter, South Bend. Services were held Monday in the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton. Burial was in West* lawn Cemetery, North Liberty. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association. JANET L GADDIS Janet L. Gaddis, 58, of 905>/i Division St., LaPorte, died at 11:12 a.m. Tqesday, June 14 in the LaPorfe Hospital. She was born April 30, 1936 in LaPorte. Mrs. Gaddis was retired after 29 years of employment at Howmet Corp., LaPorte. On April 19, 1986, in i LaPorte, she married Lennie Gaddis, who survies. Mrs. Gaddis was also the former owner of De-Ja-Vu Antiques. Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Gina Rotermund, Troy, Michigan; two sons, Michael V. Johnson, LaPorte, and Jeffery L. Johnson, Fish Lake; four grandchildren; and her mother, Catherine Stubblefield, LaPorte. She was preceded in death by her father, one sister and two brothers. Services were held Friday, June 17, at 1:00 p.m. in the Haverstock Chapel, LaPorte with Pastor Larry Houseman officiating. Burial was in Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte. T. W. “TED” HOSTETLER T. W. "Ted” Hostetler, 82, of Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth, formerly of Walkerton, died at 2:36 a.m. Thursday in the nursing home. He was born July 26, 1911, iq St. Joseph County and was a lifelong area resident. On June 11, 1938, in Kingsbury, he married Neva Ruth Barney, who survives. Mr. Hostetler was retired as a selfemployed general contractor. Also surviving are a daughter, Sue Ann Williams, of Lake Worth, Florida; a son, Wayne W., of Plymouth; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Homb, Walkerton. Burial was-in Eastlawn Cemetery, North Liberty.
