FARM BUREAU DISTRICT 1 SUMMER MEETING SET Members of Indiana Farm Bureau District 1 will hold their annual summer meeting Tuesday, June 28, at the 4-H Fairgrounds Esther Singer Building in South Bend. Attire for the 7:00 p.m. meeting is casual and refreshments will.be served. Wayne Bode, District 1 director, will preside over the meeting which will feature Dr. Karl Brandt, associated dean of Purdue’s school of agriculture. District scholarship presentations and 4-H recognition and awards are also slated for the evening event. A cookie baking contest will close the evening. District 1 includes Fulton, Lake, LaPorte, Marshall, Porter, Pulaski, St. Joseph and Starke Counties.
