Raymond Carlsons To Celebrate 40th Anniversary t Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Carlson will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26th, at the Covenant Church in Donaldson. LaVerne Carlson and Joan Drake were married June 27, 1954. Rev. Milton Petzold of the First Church of Christ officiated in the ceremony. There three daughters and sons-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. David (Jerri) Benjamin, of Naperville, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Sherri) Wilson, of Koontz Lake; and Mr. and Mrs. Ty (Jody) Fischer, of Orlando, Florida, will host the afternoon. They also have one grandson and five granddaughters. The presence of family and friends at the open house will be your most cherished gift and none other is required. The Frank Sims To Celebrate 40th Anniversary Frank Raymond and Beverly Mae Sims, 110 South Main St., North Liberty, will have an open house on Saturday, June 25th, to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. COMBINED FINAL NOTIFICATION AND FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Farmers Home Administration (FmHA) has received an application for financial assistance submitted by the Town of Walkerton, for construction of a sanitary sewer extension to its industrial park. FmHA has assessed the potential environmental impacts of this proposed action and determined that the proposed improvements will be constructed in, near, and/or through areas designated as wetlands and 100 year floodplains. A variety of alternatives, including “no action” have been considered and the determination has been made that there is no practicable alternative which would avoid locating these elements of the project in, near, and/or through wet-

lands, and 100 year floodplains. A mitigation measure to reduce the effect on wetlands and 100 year floodplain is: The Town will develop and enforce a local utility regulation prohibiting water service in the wetlands and 100 year floodplains except to now-existing structure or replacements thereof. The project will not affect the value and/or function of the floodplain and wetland areas. When construction is complete, the areas will be restored to their existing condition. Design and construction of the project will conform to all Federal and State floodplain and wetland protection standards. FmHA has further determined that this proposed action will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment. Therefore, FmHA will not prepare an environmental impact statement for this proposed action. The environmental assessment for the proposed action is available for review at FmHA’s District Office located at 1919 East Business 30, P. O. Box 699, Columbia City, Indiana between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
