Fifteen adults completed basic scoutmaster leader training on April 16, at Rice Woods in Grovertown. The training consisted of four evening sessions and a weekend campout for a total of 40 hours of devoted time by each adult. This training will build their skills as Boy Scout leadgers in the position of scoutmaster, assistant scoutmaster, troop committee members and parents. Participants are pictured, left to right: Steve Keifer, Meiladee Williams, Gene Heyse, Dave Harman, Barbara White, Jeremy Whitmore, Arthur Musick, John Kelley, Diane DeGroff, Tim Boocher, Pam Wallace, Paul Hasley, Gary Williams, Jim Swan and Jerry Trujillo. R.E.A.L. SERVICES NEWS WALKERTON Monday Harold and Hazel Schweder were in charge of the books and program. They turned a blue Monday into a happy day. Tuesday everyone just sat around and chit-chatted. Wednesday Jessie Schaeffer had the program and prayers, "one Lump or Two?” During the war when food was being rationed, a local restaurant had a sign on the wall that suggested, "Please use only one sugar cube and stir like crazy — we don’t mind the noise".
