Glenn Golf Team Record Now At 13-5 The John Glenn Golf Team has tieen very active over the past week with victories over Oregon-Davis and South Bend Adams, a third place finish in the Northern State Conference Tournament, and a sudden death one hole playoff defeat at the hands of long time rival [ aVille in the Lancer Invitational. 18th ranked Concord visited the Falcon's home course at Whispering Pines May 26th and dropped the Glenn linksmen by the score of 152 to 168. Brian Lyle led the Falcons with a 18 at Hamlet for a 165 to 215 victory Luke Hanselman led the Bobcats with a 48. The Falcons could not overcome the hot score of LaVille and Knox in the conference tourney as LaVille took the title again by the score of 329 to Knox’s 330. Glenn was third with a 341, fourth was Jimtown at 342, Culver 364, New Prairie 373, Bremen 385 and Triton 421. Brian Lyle was selected to the All-Conference Team with an 81 for 6th place. Landon Wiegand also placed on the All-Conference Team with an 83 for 7th place. Steve Savoie and Landon Wiegand saved the Falcons at Erskine by shooting 42's to help the usually steady Falcons to a 180 to 183 victory. The win over Adams moved the Falcons record to 13 and 4. At the Concord match Jayson Kincaid came to life with his season low of 39 followed closely by Brent Hostrawser with a 41. The Minutemen prevailed as they also continue to have a very successful season. The Lancer Invitational had all the makings of a very successful day as all five Glenn players had completed their rounds and were sitting at the scorers table with a 337 total and the lead. However, LaVille’s last player, Jon Berger, needed to come in with a back nine score of 40 to tie the Falcons and he did just that. LaVille’s 337 and Glenn’s 337 total leave the tiebreaker to the sth man score, and in this case the scores were tied between Jayson Kincaid and Ben Berger as well. In rare situations like these all 10 players must go back on to the course for a suddendeath playoff taking the best 4 of 5 scores after every hole played. It proved to be LaVille’s day as they

In Junior Varsity action, T. J. Jackson turned in a fine 47 against Adams followed by Nathan Cripe and Chris Linback with 49's, Ryan Schmeltz added a 50 to the team total of 193 compared to Adam's 181. Cripe and Jackson scored 40’s against Concord followed by Linback with a 53, Schmeltz 58 and freshman Jake McPhail with a 68.
